- Bachelor’s Degree with a valid Missouri Certificate.
- Theatre and Speech (7-12)

The successful candidate will:
- Articulate how intentional planning and backwards design will be used in the classroom.
- Display enthusiasm for teaching and describe how they will engage students in the learning process.
- Promote academic language to enhance student understanding.
- Be able to articulate how formative assessment strategies will be used in the classroom.
- Describe how they will be a proactive communicator with parents.
- Articulate teaching strategies that will engage students in learning.
- Be a proactive communicator with parents and colleagues.
- Be able to discuss how student data can be used to inform and guide instruction.
- Demonstrate effective classroom management strategies.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members of the department and building.
- Outline a plan for annual stage productions.
- Communicate a plan to grow and maintain a competitive speech and debate program.
