Job Description:
Youth Coordinator – AHC*                                                       Location: The Welcome Center
Position: 12 months, 16 hours per week                               Status:  Non-Exempt
Open Date: 3/28/2024                                                               Closing Date: 5/30/2024
Hourly Rate: $27.00 hour
 
Essential Job Functions:
This part-time position will report to the Project Director of PAHC (Parkway’s Alliance for Healthy Communities). He or she will be charged with the mission of increasing community partnerships and collaborations. The Project Coordinator will assure development and implementation of recruitment plans specific to the goals and objectives of the Drug-Free Communities; will collaborate with contracted social media consultant to assure specific project implementation; will assure ongoing stakeholder networking, recruitment, and retention; will network with AHC faculty sponsors and student teams in assisting youth-involved social norms projects; will assist in AHC’s Safe Celebrations activity planning and implementation; will assist in preparation of AHC monthly membership meetings and AHC community events; as well as other duties as assigned. Some evening and weekend hours will be required.
 
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, social work, public health, education, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
• 2+ years’ experience in community organizing and stakeholder recruitment
• MS Office proficient
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building talent
• Effective community networking skills
• Team-oriented; strong collaboration skills
• Cultural sensitivity and adaptability
• Strong organizational abilities
• Superior verbal and written communications skills
• Public speaking skills
• Event planning experience
• May be required to travel to some national and state trainings

 *Position ends at the conclusion of the grant (2027)
