The Raymore-Peculiar School District is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of Special Education Teacher. This position is for a specialized classroom setting working with students in Kindergarten - 5th Grade. Candidates should have experience working with special education students, particularly those with significant behavioral and emotional needs. Candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to develop relationships with students and parents as well as build a positive classroom community. Knowledge of and experience with BIST, Conscious Discipline, Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Plan development is preferred.

Qualifications:
- Missouri Teaching Certification - Special Education Grades K-12
- Dependent on level of education and years of teaching experience.
- Nineteen years of previous teaching experience will be accepted toward placement on salary schedule.
